Watch the official Baldur’s Gate III mod cartoon

Did you know there are Baldur’s Gate III cartoons? Well, of course there are cartoons — there are some great fan animations all over the web. But I mean official ones, made by Larian with the game’s voice actors? There are and there’s a brand new one celebrating the official game mod tools and mod manager.

This short and several previous ones were produced by Mashed, and I love every second of them. Not only are they showing a great understanding of BGIII’s characters and often intentional goofiness, they’re just darn good shorts all on their own. And the modding short really captures the creativity, chaos, and (you knew it was coming) frequent horniness that the game also embraces.

Baldur’s Gate III is more or less complete, and developer Larian Studios isn’t going to be making their next game in the series or the Dungeons & Dragons universe. But I hope that whatever they do, they keep a line open for Mashed for these wonderful little treats.
