Remember the current ballot box question of Trump is not the reason to vote Liberal. This ballot box question can disappear as fast as it appeared. Your vote should be determined by who can best lead this country back to its prominence for the next four years. Ten years of quasi-Liberal rule ruined this country and another four years of rule by a pretend PM will not fix it. Remember this at the ballot box.
GEORGE EWERT
(Hopefully voters remember that at the ballot box.)
Too late, Liberals
Well, can you believe an election is coming and now the Liberals are donating all that money to help Jasper rebuild, but it took an election to do that? I know the residents deserve help, but why was that not done earlier? Oh, I guess this disaster was in Alberta, not Quebec. Why will the Liberals not help our homeless and they are cutting funds to the disabled? If the East votes the Liberals another four years, perhaps Alberta will leave to join Trump, and Quebec will not get their subsidy and Alberta can charge tax to cross their border to get goods to B.C. and vice versa.

Carney no savior
Re “PM plunders Tory plans” (Lorrie Goldstein, March 23): Thank you. I’m not the only one thinking I’m hearing an echo. I picture Mark Carney, parroting the Conservative platform with his hand behind his back, his fingers crossed. Carney has proven that he plagiarizes others’ ideas and accomplishments. He is a grave robber who shamelessly pilfered Jim Flaherty’s attainments. He never saved Canada nor England. He helped create the carbon tax. In my opinion, this man is nothing more than a swindler.

Prime Minister Carney is letting first-time home-buyers who purchase a house for under a million skip the GST. This was Pierre Poilievre’s idea. So, my friend’s kids who live in Ottawa and can find a house for well under a million don’t have to pay GST. But my kids who live in Mississauga and can’t find a reasonable house for under a million have to pay the higher cost of the house and the GST? Mark Carney, you are a numbers person. Please think about extending it to all first-time home-buyers regardless of price to even the playing field.
